Yolanda Pierson

Yolanda Pierson co-founded Pierson & Sons Trucking, LLC.  As a co-founder, she was critical in establishing the company and shaping its core values. Yolanda's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication have contributed to the company's growth, reputation, and commitment to delivering exceptional service in the trucking industry. Yolanda is a results-driven business professional with over 20 years of continuous growth in managing organizational strategies and leading business development within the supply chain industry. As a multifaceted leader in Supply Chain Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, she has a proven track record in building sourcing strategies, increasing diverse spending, and implementing category improvements in various sectors, including distribution, logistics, manufacturing operations, retail sustainability, and supply chain.

Yolanda possesses expertise in fostering inclusion, strategic planning, data analysis, six-sigma, business development, and implementation, all of which contribute to organizational optimization. She brings extensive knowledge and experience in sourcing and procurement, project management, supply chain optimization, strategic planning, corporate sustainability, supplier diversity and inclusion, distribution/warehouse management, and community and social responsibility.

Yolanda has achieved numerous accolades and career highlights that showcase her commitment to diversity and inclusion. She was awarded the 2020 NCMSDC Diversity Advocate of the Year and recognized as a Top 30 Champion of Diversity & Inclusion in 2019 and 2020 by Diversity Plus Magazine. Additionally, Yolanda received the Top Women in Power Impacting Diversity award in 2018 from WBENC and Diversity Inc.

Yolanda's experience as a co-founder of Pierson & Sons Trucking provides her with unique insights into the trucking industry and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities it presents. Her leadership, industry expertise, and commitment to diversity and inclusion make her a valuable asset in driving success, leading to the development of her brand “ThaTruckersWife,” where she shares her expertise in running a Trucking Business, being an Owner Operator, Training other businesses and Supplier Diversity.
Yolanda holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Organizational Management & Leadership and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She also completed Logistics and Supply Chain training at the University of St. Thomas.

Outside of her career and business, Yolanda remains engaged in charitable work and initiatives that provide training, enrichment, housing, guidance, and programs to empower and create paradigm shifts in the lives of young black and brown children. Yolanda sits on the Board of Directors for 180 Degrees, Positive Image Minneapolis, and NCMSDC (North Central Minority Supplier Development Council) and is President of the Minnesota BIPOC Truckers Council.
